Market Square Park
"Market Square Park: Bounded by Travis, Milam, Preston and Congress, Market Square is the geographic heart of downtown and the site of the city’s original commercial center. Market Square Park was the site of City Hall from 1841 through 1939. On Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the park hosts Market Square Market, an open-air shopping venue recreating the air of the street market it hosted until the 1920s."
